Nixon Library To Honor American Heroes

Families of the fallen will be given personalized remembrance ornaments to hang on the Hometown Heroes Christmas trees on display at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library.

    WHAT
    The Richard Nixon Foundation will honor service members from Southern California who lost their lives, as well as those currently serving our country, at the annual Hometown Heroes Christmas tree dedication.

    More than 100 local military members will be recognized at this moving ceremony – including those who served in Afghanistan, Iraq, Vietnam and Korea. Families of the military members will receive personalized ornaments to hang on the Hometown Heroes Christmas trees, which will be on display at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library through January 2.

    The program includes the recognition of each local hero by Air Force Colonel Wayne Scott, invocation by Pastor Tom Barkey of Yorba Linda Church of Grace, and patriotic musical presentations. The event is free and open to the public.
