“Trees, Trains & Traditions” – a collection of 26 breathtaking Christmas trees with more than 5,000 colorful ornaments, 13,000 sparkling lights, and 5 model railroad systems – is now pleasing visitors at the Nixon Library.
The trees reflect the spirit of the holidays from countries and cultures from around the world including China, Ireland, France, Germany, Russia, Japan, Korea, Scotland, Mexico, England, Sweden, Austria, Italy and Africa.
Specially themed trees include the Elvis Tree, First Lady Pat Nixon Centennial Tree, and a tree made entirely of poinsettia flowers.
Five model railroad train engines representing Denver & Rio Grande Western Mogul, Colorado & Southern Mogul, Denver & Rio Grande Western Forney, 2-8-2 Mikado, and Thomas the Tank engine.
The exhibit is open during regular hours through January 2 and is included with general admission.
