Col. Oliver North Packs the East Room

Fox News military expert Col. Oliver North addressed an audience of more than 600 in the East Room on Tuesday, February 12.

Col. North discussed President Nixon's contributions to the military including bringing an end the Vietnam War and establishing an all-volunteer military. The occasion of his appearance fell on the 40th anniversary of when the first flight of POWs returned to American soil.

He also told anecdotes of his experiences working with Richard Nixon during his post-presidency.

Before the lecture, Col. North toured Patriot. President. Peacemaker, the Richard Nixon Centennial exhibit with co-curators Bob Bostock and Frank Gannon.
