Today’s Daily Telegraph offers a pictorial “History of the Power Parade” — a look at the official automobiles of American presidents.
- There’s Herbert Hoover’s super cool 1932 Cadillac 452B V-16 Fleetwood Imperial (he may have raised taxes at the wrong time but he drove to his successor’s inauguration in great style);
- FDRs 1942 Lincoln V-12;
- and RN’s Lincoln Continental (which can be viewed, walked around, and peered into, at the RN Library in Yorba Linda, although greasy contemporary fingerprints on the highly-polished body don’t add to its historical value).
The piece concludes with a photo of President Palin’s official limo (circa post-2012).
