ANNOUNCEMENT FROM RON WALKER,
CHAIRMAN RICHARD NIXON FOUNDATION
Dear Friends of the Nixon Foundation:
I am pleased to announce that at its annual meeting on November 11, the Board of Directors of the Richard Nixon Foundation selected long time Nixon library executive Richard (Sandy) Quinn as the Foundation’s new President.
Sandy and I have worked closely together over the past year in my role as Foundation President and his as Executive Vice President/COO. Our management collaboration started 21 years ago when I chaired the Nixon Library and Birthplace formal dedication and opening, and I have always found him to have an abundance of energy, ideas and management skills. He knows our institution well, has a close personal relationship with the Nixon family, and knew and worked with President and Mrs. Nixon for many years.
This is an exciting time for the Nixon Foundation, as we expand our core mission of illuminating the life and legacy of the 37th President, and approach the centennial celebrations for First Lady Pat Nixon in 2012, and President Nixon in 2013.
Anne and I congratulate Sandy in his new role and look forward to working together as we introduce Richard Nixon to new and younger audiences throughout the world.
