In celebration of Pat Nixon’s 110th Birthday on March 16th, a community involvement fair gave guests the opportunity to get involved with 24 of America’s leading charitable organizations.
Throughout her life, Mrs. Nixon committed herself to volunteerism —people helping people— and her legacy of service is celebrated at the Nixon Library every year with organizations she chaired or championed, on the anniversary of her birthday.
The opening ceremony included a Presentation of Colors by the Girl Scouts Honor Guard and remarks from the Mayor of Yorba Linda, Carlos Rodriguez, as well as from Vikki Shepp, the CEO of Girl Scouts of Orange County.
A “Meet Pat Nixon” program featured Foundation Board Member Maureen Drown Nunn in character as First Lady Pat Nixon for an interactive educational presentation.
Our thanks to The Crean Foundation for underwriting the day’s educational activities.
