On July 30 at the Nixon Library, General David Petraeus, commander of US-led coalitions in Iraq and Afghanistan and former CIA director, shared expert analysis from his latest book, Conflict: The Evolution of Warfare from 1945 to Ukraine.
General Petraeus joined Oliver Schwab, former Congressional Chief of Staff, fellow at the Woodrow Wilson Center and the Council on Foreign Relations and frequent lecturer on geopolitics, for a conversation on the invaluable lessons to be learned from past conflicts, an assessment of the current global threats and how this can be applied to predict the future of warfare.
Using examples from history and his own leadership experience, General Petraeus provided a real-time breakdown of current global threats while sharing how strategic leadership, effective use of technology and a community-backed commitment to service can guide America now and in the future.
