We think we know the history of Ike and Dick, but Dr. Irv Gellman reveals a different Eisenhower, and a different Nixon in his new book, “The President and the Apprentice.”
Dr. Gellman’s new book debunks the myths of the Eisenhower administration and the often-misunderstood relationship between President Eisenhower and his apprentice, and successor, Richard Nixon.
Gellman is a scholar on Richard Nixon’s life, career and presidency, and a professor of history at Franklin and Marshall College. His previous book, The Contender, chronicles RNs years in the House of Representatives and as Senator from California.
