Nearly 4,000 packed the Nixon Library for the celebration of the Girl Scouts’ and First Lady Pat Nixon’s 99th birthdays. In keeping with this year’s theme of “Celebrating Differences,” Orange County area scouts set up interactive booths throughout the Library for the purpose of educating the public on issues such as cultural and religious diversity, the difficulties of the physically impaired, and global poverty.
This years’ speakers included Foundation Executive Vice President Anthony Curtis, Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez, Sarah Benoit, assistant to Congressman Gary Miller, event chair Christina Noble and Orange County’s head scout Nancy Nygren.
