David Tukey

Dr. David Tukey is a New York-based healthcare investor. He manages a portfolio of investments in global biopharmaceutical companies at ExodusPoint Capital Management. Prior to joining ExodusPoint, Dr. Tukey spent over 9 years at Point72 and affiliates, starting as an intern and later becoming a Portfolio Manager.

Dr. Tukey worked as a neuroscientist at NYU before transitioning to the investment world; he authored a number of peer-reviewed articles including a 2013 Journal of Neuroscience paper that was among the first to describe the mechanisms by which natural rewards such as sugar cause physical changes in the brain.

Active in his community, he is a member of the boards of the Sustained Dialogue Institute and New Jersey Scholars Program, serves as a mentor for the Princeton Entrepreneurship Council, and worked as a Deputy Regional Campaign Manager for John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign. He earned a bachelor’s in molecular biology from Princeton, a PhD in neuroscience from NYU, where he was a recipient of a prestigious NRSA fellowship, and a professional certificate in financial analysis from NYU.

Dr. Tukey is an avid cyclist and lives in Rumson, NJ with his wife, Stacy, and his three children, Harrison, Olive and Aidan.
