On October 18 and 19, 2023, the Richard Nixon Foundation convened twenty-four prominent national security experts in Washington, D.C. for the second annual Grand Strategy Summit. The objective of the Summit is to formulate a comprehensive, long-term strategic vision for American statecraft in the spirit of President Nixon’s “long view” foreign policy.

Discussions covered the short and potential long-term impacts of the ongoing conflict in Israel and the broader Middle East, looking beyond the Russia-Ukraine war, an evaluation of America’s foreign alliances, an examination of trade policies aligned with America’s national interests, and assessments of the national security consequences of evolving energy and environmental policies.
