On July 4, 2026, the nation will mark the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence—a moment to commemorate and reflect on America’s history, founding principles, and Orange County’s contributions to the country’s growth and development.
On January 14, 2025, at 7:00 p.m., the official launch of USA250-OC will take place. This non-profit, non-partisan initiative aims to bring the community together in a year-long focus on the aspirations, rights, and responsibilities set forth in the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights.
The evening’s speakers include Jeffrey Rosen, President of the National Constitution Center and author of Pursuit of Happiness, as well as President George Washington (portrayed by an esteemed reenactor).
The event will be held in the grand East Room at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum in Yorba Linda.
Admission is free, but registration is required.
