On Friday, January 10, 2025, guests filled the Pat Nixon Amphitheater at the Nixon Library for a wreath-laying ceremony commemorating President Nixon’s 112th birthday. Featured speakers Rear Admiral Robert Nowakowski, Deputy Commander, Naval Education and Training Command – Force Development and Fred Mendoza, Member of President Nixon’s Cabinet Committee on Spanish-Speaking People, reflected on President Nixon’s accomplished legacy of service while sharing personal examples his leadership directly impacted their lives and communities.
The ceremony included the presentation of a wreath sent from President Biden at President Nixon’s gravesite, formal presentation of the colors by the U.S. Marines and music from the Navy Band Southwest.
Richard Nixon was born on January 9, 1913, in the house that remains in its original location and is now part of the campus of the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum. To celebrate President Nixon’s birthday, guests received free admission to the Nixon Library all day.
