Bask in the splendors of Christmas with a magical Candlelight Evening on Tuesday, December 20th, 2022 from 5:30 – 8:30 pm!
Experience the Nixon Library in a whole new (candle) light with this special evening candlelight tour and holiday celebration.
In 1969, First Lady Pat Nixon introduced evening tours of the White House so that working families could experience the Christmas decorations. To continue her tradition,, the Nixon Library will light up after dark with an indoor and outdoor experience featuring festive lights, Christmas music, Santa Claus, reindeer, and gingerbread!
The Celebration includes:
-Explore the presidential museum galleries after-dark
-Feed Santa’s reindeer before they take off on their big night
-Enjoy the Sounds of Christmas concert by the Huntington Beach Concert Band at 7:00 pm
-Take photos with Santa Claus in the Argyros Oval Office
-Enjoy festive photo opportunities with a larger-than-life-sized gingerbread man
-Create your own whimsical gingerbread man ornament
-Build your own Hot Cocoa Creation and enjoy a cup of Polly’s Pies delicious backburner soup
-Learn about the Nixon family’s Christmas traditions with biographer Paul Carter
-Sing along with the Dickens Carolers from Foothill High School
